Earlier in the year i was looking for a 3 series 330 sport after spending 3 month looking at the same over priced high mile rubbish i decided to give up, there was nothing wrong with our car we'd just got a bit bored with it.

Anyway lately ive been seeing A3 3.2 Quattros about they look good and performance wise seem on a par with the 330.

I was just wondering what they are like and do they have many issues, the 330 certainly did. I can get a 54 reg for under 15k so they are cheaper than the 330 too.

I was murdered by one of these about an hour ago in my cooper S. did so without any fuss or drama. seemed sanitised. The sound wasnt even that good considering people rave about it in the R32 golf

The 3.2 is quite thirsty and nose-heavy, although if you want the DSG it's the best choice (you can't get the DSG and Quattro with the 2.0T). It also has a very high CO2 output considering.

They are a nice car, but I'd go for the 2.0T personally unless the DSG was important.

I would go for the turbo except with turbo are there reliabilty issues? And we do a lot of town driving too

Performance is excellent, they are very quick, but the steering is lifeless, the handling is nose heavy and the interior quality is just not what you would expect from an Audi.

What boring and plastic? :D

Great cars, never drove one but i have been up against 1 or 2 and they dont hang around!!!

The old man had one on a test drive, doesn't feel that fast but is reasonable once you look at the speedo. Fuel economy was a joke though, single digit economy with a heavy foot :p

they are very reliable Reliable, it may need a MAF from time to time but they dont cost much. The turbo is also very good for driving around town if you are caful

The fuel economy is a bit poor high teens low twenties maybe, the 2.0t is a bit high price wise than the 3.2 i thinks its a bit newer, but even models of the same age the 2t is dearer
