a3 indicators - indicating the wrong way?!?

hi

bit of a problem with my A3

for some reason my indicators intermittently indicate in the wrong direction

I.e select left & right flashes etc

anyone had this & know how to solve it?

Had a faulty relay cause this before in a Scania HGV...

You haven't had the dash off or the 'wheel off for any reason? if not, faulty relay as Scania has said.

That's quite an unfortunate fault it's produced.

I would solve it by driving in reverse when it happens.

lol!

yes it is a bit irratating when going down the motorway it's busy and I go the opposite direction to what the car says it's going to do

& thanks scania will look into that. no dash off or wheels

Christ, that's actually a really dangerous fault on he motorway

Indicator relay, which I think is the hazard button on A3's, would be my punt

I think most A3's have this fault, it must be the reason why the majority of owners give up using the indicators completely.
