Does anyone know a decent one of these that actually does A3 scanning as well as printing, been looking for a while and they all seem to just have an a4 scanning bed which you only find out when you look at the detailled specs - any recommendations would be helpfukl

cheers

My father has one of the Brother A3 all in ones, DCP-6690CW.

A3 printing, scanning and copying and Wi-Fi as well.

Seems to do a pretty decent job.

Brother have a new range out now.

cool, cheers
have heard the wifi on the brothers is pretty unstable, but not a worry to me at all since another wire in here isn't going to make a blind bit of difference!!

The Wi-Fi works fine for my father.

The PC is in one room and the printer in another as they're quite big things.

Admittedly the wireless router and the printer are probably only about 20' apart and the signal only goes through 1 wall.

But they do also print out from the laptop downstairs, and the printer and router are upstairs, so it seems to work OK.

don't suppose (given your username) you know what if it would print cad drawings ok?

You may be reading too much into my username.

You wouldn't want me to read too much into yours ;)

Seriously, what it will print isn't really down to the printer.

If you have the right software, which can send the correct information to the printer, it will get printed.

That's my understanding anyway.

haha, true enough!!

nah, it's just that some printers are better than other for cad work, down to the printheads more than anything, not top priority since i already have a nice a3 printer for drawings, was just wondering if you knew!

If you're looking for "professional" results then you probably won't get that.

Only Brother seem to produce A3 inkjet printer/scanner/copiers. Or at least they were the only ones when I was looking at them for my father.

You'd probably say they were a Jack of all trades, master of none.
