Hello There,

Not sure where i should post this..!? (photography!??)

But anyways I'm after a quality A3 printer which gives good quality photo printing to a max size of Super B (A3+) borderless printing would be nice!

Apart from printing the quality stuff there must be some sort of eco setting to print the mundane large spreadsheets etc. - the printer will be in good heavy use so i would like the ink cartrigdes to last a fair bit of time before they need replacing!

Price £300 max! - ideally with seperate colour cartridges but open to explanations why not!

Appologies Mods if this is in the wronge...pls to one which is more suitible!

Thanks.

Sorry I can't really answer the question, I am however intersted in what pepole have to say on this as im after exactly the same for work. My tiny bit of research today did lead me to look at the Canon PIXMA iX5000.

TBH i have used a Epson 1290 A3 printer which answers the photo printing section of *** breif adn is well within budget but the day to day printing...it just takes to long!

Besides that printer is 5+years old i'm sure printing technology has improved and the photo side of things should be better!

Hehe, its the 1290 were looking to replace at work. :) And the main reason is that it takes too long, especially when I have a long queue of students waiting for the thing.

the Epson Stylus A3 Photo R1800 Printer is a great printer individual cartridges (8) borderless printing and cd printing slightly higher than your budget but availble from ocuk for £364.19 inc vat here

hope this helps

Cheers for that mate...but 8 print cartridges sounds a lot of money to replace....plus the cartridges seems to contain a small amount of ink 7 -13ml??

Still need help in finding something!

You can grab ink on the bay for this at 69p a cartridge & they last quite a long time with excellent quality ;)
