a6 1.9 tdi multitronic

after a bit of advice. have been offered a 53 plate 1.9 a6 tdi estate for around 600 but the multitronic gearbox is starting to die. apart from that car looks good. was wondering worst case scenario how much would i be roughly looking at for a rebuild or fitting a replacement gearbox. thinking wheather itd be worth picking up as dads after an estate

Would appear that even with the most brief of eBay searches, you can get a reconditioned (part exchage) 'box for £770.

What's the mileage?

And what exactly is wrong with the box? Is the PRND bit on the dash flashing or are you having trouble driving the car?

600 quid is cheap even with a duff box so I'd be asking what else was wrong with it.
