As title really, I've aquired one of these for a mate and I was just wondering how well they overclock. I tried up to 2.4ghz (240 x 10), but it wouldn't have it. has anyone had any experience with this (1meg level 2 cache) cpu?

A64 3200, S754, clawhammer, how well do they clock?

I had one that wouldnt overclock at all..... very upset at the time! 
it was however a good fast chip at the time and i managed to sell the old pc for over the odds to pay for my new one so not all bad.

Not really the same but my Newcastle 754 3200 clocked to 2.4 (240x10) and that was it, that was with stock volts too

I had the skt 754 3400+ clawhammer (2.2 ghz 1mb L2) and even that would top out below 2.4ghz. It's likely that yours 3200+ will not get near that either. My 3700+ Clawhammer however will go from 2.4 to 2.78ghz quite happily but thats still only 378mhz so it is doubtful if yours will go a full 400mhz.
