a64 single channel, big perf hit?

i have 2x256 and 1x512, so untill i can get a matching 512 stick the board i'll be using will only run in single channel. what kind of perf hit will it take? (all bh5 btw)

I moved from 2x256 in DC to 1x1024 in SC and got exactly the same score (within 10 points) in 3DMark05.
Doom3 had the same fps (exactly).
Older stuff took a hit though - 3DMark01 took 580 off the score.

Artificial benching like Sandra shows massive changes, but like Belly says not that apparent.

You won't see much difference in 05 as its so graphics card dependant, 01 will show the change of overall system performance, but like you say the performance hit is minimal.

I saw quite an improvement for things that are memory quantity (rather than quality) based. Loading times were much improved in Half Life 2 and FEAR. I'd imagine BF2 would benefit massively too but I don't play it.
