A64 x2 4200 LCB9E any good for OC???

depnds on the week of production. but most seem good for 2.8 on low volts.

a lot will do 3ghz (or more with cooling and volts) but mem controlers can get funny that high - dividers/DETAILED timing tweaks become a must for most.

As Amonlym said, usually will do 2.8Ghz on near enough stock. But they hit a voltage wall after that and need a fair amount of additional Vcore to get above 2.8.

But still, 2.8Ghz is a great overclock ;)

Thanks for the replies. The chip is a LCB9E 0713. Will install it soon and see how I get on. My limit is likely to be my 4 sticks of 512mb kingston valueram. We shall see.
