Just got myself an Enermax Infinity 720 PSU and initially everything worked fine, but then the next day it started to have crashes and all case fans stopped working in my Antec 900 (they all converted into 3 pins and plugged into a single fan bus). Now fans still work if I plug them directly into motherboard so no problems in the fans themselves. Also everytime I start a game the motherboard POST reporter starts screaming "CPU failed" (everything is stock, I reset it, oh and POST reporter is disabled in BIOS :/ so no idea why it's talking in a first place). Now that fans are off temps are higher, but still nothing is overheating.
I had a quick look in Infiniti manual and it says that it's backwards compatible with ATX12 V2.0 motherboards, however, I can find anywhere if my mobo is. Also not sure how accurate volt reading are in mobos, but the volts seem a little off for a PSU of this class as well:
+3.3v = 3.05
+5v = 4.56
+12v = 11.96
Motherboard monitor 5 readings:
+3.3v = 3.10
+5v = 4.73
+12v = 11.55
The rest of my spec is:
2800+ Barton
A7N8X-E Deluxe
1.5GB PC3200 Crucial
160 Hitachi IDE
120 Seagate IDE
X800 Pro (AGP)
1 DVD Writer
Now since I can't imagine anyone selling me a duff PSU on here (bought from MM), only conclusion I can come up with is that my mobo simply incompatible, but at the same time I can't find anywhere to say it doesn't support ATX12 V2.0.
Thanks in advance guys.
