Hey guys,

Summer is coming and I'm a little worried about my mobo temps! They're not reaching around 41C when the room is heated to a level I am comfortable at and when gaming it goes up to 46C (where it flashes red on Asus probe). I've got plenty of fans in there, what else could it be? The processor temps are fine, they don't go above 50C under load. Thanks.

What CPU do you have?

I'm running an Asus A8N32-SLI with an FX55 & a Thermalright SI-120 heatsink CPU temps are 31C idle & playing RO for 2 hours it's @ 39-40C,the boards temp is 29C idle after 2 hours gaming i'm lucky if it go's past 32C.

Hope this helps you.

I have an AMD 4400+ X2, my other system specs in case you need them to help me:

Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro
BFG nVidia 7800GTX 512mb graphics card
2 x Wester Digital 250GB and 1 x 76GB raptor
2GB Corsair XMS3500LL

My room temp is probably 25 - 30C, that's the comfortable range for me.

The Artic Cooling Freezer Pro is an excellent heatsink but the only thing wrong with it is it doesn't blow air down on to the motherboard. The reason my temps are low is that the Thermalright blows air down onto the motherboard which cools the top aluminium heatsink which covers the mosfets, the copper heatpipe heatsink & the memory.By using Thermalright or anything similar such as Thermaltake Big Typhoon should help with your motherboard temps or even rig up a fan to blow onto the motherboard.

I've got an a8n32 with the a64freezer pro and my temps right now are 32/32 cpu and mobo at idle, load is 41/33. My freezer pro has a little downturned lip that directs air down onto the mobo heatsink/heatpipe. Case wise I have 4 80mm fans , 2 front/1 back and one top all running at 7v through a baybus.

Maybe the OP's heatpipe isn't seatd correctly , only thing that springs to mind , unless his case has poor airflow (a possibility even with a "load" of fans).

How would I check if the heatpipe seating is correct or not? And how would I correct it if it isn't?

I have a thermaltake va8000 case, cables all tidied up, can take a pic if it'll be helpful. I got two exhaust fans at the back, one middle and one at top in front of which are my 3 hds and my PSU there too. Also have one fan at the top of the case and one intake at the bottom-front of the case.

I have notised this too. I have a big typhoon and 2x 120mm PC-7, but i still get 40'C MB temps. The CPU is only 37'C under load!

I havent got a 32, but ive got the bog standard A8n, and my cpu temps are 33C, but my mobo in Asus probe is 47C!!! Thats idle too, if i play a game it sometimes goes over 50C.

I replaced the noisy cooler with a Zalman NB block, so could that be the problem?

Sorry, didnt want to create another thread.

i had the same problem with mine to solve it i stuck an 80mm fan at the bootom of my case blowing air onto the small heatsink and heatpipe my temps droped from 40 degs idle to 32 load :D
