The opteron 146 in my dads computer is currenty running at stock and I would like to clock it up a bit. In the bios I changed dram settings to 400ddr manual, im assuming this is the same as a divider so my 200mhz geil value stays at 200mhz?

I then upped the fsb to 250 and left the multiplier on auto. I restarted and the computer got to the asus screen and did not boot into windows. I also tried a slight volt increase on the cpu but that didnt do anything.

The only power connections I have go from cpu hsf to board, chipset to board, rear exhaust, dvd drive and hard drive.

I cannot see a graphics card connection on the Powercolor X800GTO 16 and there is a blue and black system fan connection and pci-e connection from the back of the power supply but I havent got these connected.

apparently i need to set it to 233ddr as it doesnt lock to 400ddr properly (or it does until you up the fsb to 250 then it just moves to 250)
