I have been asked to sort this out and its a fairly confusing one.
CPU used is an X2-3800 and its running at stock.
Apparently, its been going funny for a while, the owner hasnt a clue what, but when I got it, it was a wreck, and I had to replace the PSU as my first option just to get it to boot for longer than a few seconds.
Its also had a new battery too, and I have put in some different RAM to try to help out, but whats happening, is that I am constantly being told that it has failed to overclock the CPU?
The thing is, that its at stock and its not clocking at all!?!?
I have gone into the BIOS and tried to force some kind of very minimal overclock just to see if it will hold but that wont help either.
Any ideas?
Oh,. and of course I ahve tried flashing the BIOS too, but thats done nothing... My next port of call which will have to be tomorrow is to try a completely different CPU so I think I have a 3500 single somewhere spare, just to try to stabilize it.
