Ive recently got a cheap A8R-MVP to replace my dead Asrock 939DS2. On the whole I quite like it as I can push things a little more then before.
One annoyace is that on a cold boot it doesnt seem to acknowledge the fsb speed setting so just boots at "multi x mem divider". Cant figure any way round this atm. so i have to enter bios and hit save just to get settings I want. Using bios 0603
Bit annoyed that max cpu clock appears to be 2660 which is only 60 faster then what the asrock gave me. Max voltage is same as asrock (1.350v) but shows as around 1.390 in monitor and with overvolt hits 1.40-1.41. dropping ht multi and mem divider doesnt help push further :/ oh well. Ill just add that the cpu default is 1.30v
GFX clock on the other hand I am able to max out the overdrive gpu speed at 885 stable and mem 1275. Asrock i could only do 800/1175, anyhigher and the card would black out. makes me wonder if the asrock simply has a weak pcie voltage.
