AA and AAA batteries, Poundland Kodak?

If he needs rechargeables, the LIDL ones are a good shout also.
iv got a large amount of those ladda rechargeables in things like lego motor toys, wii remotes and other high drain stuff.
needed some batteries for tv remote.
will avoid those zinc carbon ones then and go with the kodak xtralife alkaline ones.

Cheap Alkaline batteries are rubbish compared to the likes of Duracell and Energizer. My partner bought some from LIDL and used them for our new automatic bin and we had to throw them in there after a few days. I would stick to the previously mentioned brands and look for a good deal online.

THe kodak batteries are useless, very short life for a lot of stuff. Of course the Kodak name was bought many years ago because Kodak the company went bust. So it's some other firm that is using the name.

can confirm, bought 8 of the kodak zinc stuff last year in my haste...would not recommend
(thankfully has not leaked)

Those Panasonic zinc ones are also useless. May work of in a clock or a TV remote but don't last long at all.
Can probably rig up a battery tester that can drain and calculate the capacity of the cell and work out if certain cheap alkaline brands are actually any good

Yeah the zinc ones don't hold much charge, used 4 last year for Halloween lights and used the last 4 this year...so thankfully, I'm rid of them now

I've found the Poundland batteries generally rubbish, Kodak aren't considered a quality brand

I buy batteries from CPC in bulk, pro-elec ultra alkaline, pack of 40 for £10, I usually do an order once per year from CPC and stock up on batteries in time for Xmas and other items that come in handy around the year like bulbs etc.

The batteries are made by GP and they perform just as good as Duracell ultra which imo is probably the best battery on the market in AA, AAA size.

I use them in all sorts of devices, remotes, led lights, mostly boys Xbox controllers,

Did someone mention Greta????
