AA and AF query

sorry if in wrong section but if i want to use the CCC panel to apply AA and AF do i have to switch it of in the game settings,thanks for any help

If the game lets you also select the AA/AF then I usually match the control panel options I set. However, from what I can tell, the control panel simply overwrites any setting.

I just force x16AF in the CCC panel and for AA I set "Application" as I get less problems with games. However set the drop-down box to "Edge-Detect" and that way if the game uses it's on AA, then CCC will use the "Edge-Detect" technique on it.

i was reading about the edge detect,so just set it to that and it will help smooth edges out or do i have to select a setting maybe 4XAA or 8xAA,cheers for the advice

Yeah just set it in the box, then use any in-game AA setting. Should work together. Don't think you need to set the AA level in CCC panel for it to work.

edge detect only works with 4x and 8x AA, this will give 12x and 24x AA results

select use app settings and select edge detect filter in CCC, use ingame AA options
