Anyone know if I can deposit a cheque at the counter instead of filling in a deposit form I don’t really know why but I hate banks well abbey anyway :mad:

Of course you can, I've never filled in a deposit slip in the last 20 years of banking with Abbey (National).

Better yet just chuck it into the ATM then you can avoid the inane chatter / sales pitch.

Im not sure tbh as with Natwest I've never filled in anything or even had my card, a simple my ac no and sort code and sign for it. HSBC [atleast our local one] on the other hand wont take anything without either a filled in slip or card.
