Anyone here not seen this? There will undoubtedly be some here too young to have seen it in 1977. I saw it back then on BBC's 'Play for Today' and watched it again yesterday. I could watch it over and over. It's a fantastic piece of work, an absolute classic and number 11 in the all time top 100 british TV programmes. I know I know, it's old and 1977 but seriously, I highly recommend it. Alison Steadman became famous for it and it's a play that to this day is performed around the world. But none come close to the original. She's an incredible actress. It's a tragic comedy drama about middle and lower middle class suburbia with superb acting, class snobbishness and a lot of awkwardness and tension.

Here's the full original version. Enjoy!
