Interested in the B&W dance shot with the flash burst on the left - it looks like it's up high and then in the next shot there's what appears to be someone holding up a flash.

Was this your off-cam flash? If so, what kind of lighting setup were you using for the indoor/dance shots out of interest?

Lol I just got lucky with a guests flash. I'm not sure what camera it's from but it delivered a bright flash. Also it seems you catch other peoples flash much more often now the iphone has an LED flash. As long as people upgrade to the 5s with colour corrected flash I don't mind!

My setup is just 1 on camera flash. The shot's after the first dance are all natural light. Tbh I wish I did the first dance all natural light as it has more character imo..

Yeah I'm still not too confident with flash and prefer to use natural light whenever possible, even if it means pushing the ISO. Did you use any kind of modifier or bounce?

Yep, flash on widest setting (14mm) and bounced behind and to the right at 45 degrease and up at 45 degrease. No light from the flash head directly hit's the subject (avoids specular highlights) and the wide angle creates the biggest light modifier possible.
The light source effectively becomes distant walls/ceilings and because they are further away from typical ceiling bounce, you get less light falloff (inverse square law) after the subjects so the guests in the background are exposed a little more.

Super set of images An Exception, I'm sure they will be very pleased. It looks like you got around abit even in the church as you have a good variety of shots.

Yeh you kind of need to be careful when moving around in church. Usually if it's a big church you can wait for a hymn to change location as you can move around/take pictures relatively unnoticed. It also depends of the Vicar, some are strict some aren't but you have a chat before the ceremony to establish 'boundaries'.
