Abit AN8 SLi loads XP only with single channel???

at the moment im forced to run the ram in single channel as when i try to boot into windows in dual, it will post and the screen goes black as if it wsa going to come up with the xp splash screen but instead the screen stays black and the pc shuts down completely.

anyone got any ideas?

Have you tested the memory?
Is the mem slot faulty?

the memory is fine as it works fine in single channel and singularly in each slot.
ive tried running at 2T and lowering the latencies but it still doesnt want to work in windows. in the bios its fine though.

/edit, just been reading about this ram being incompatable with the mobo
but other people have said other makes of memory are also only able to run in single channel

/edit2, looks like my memory isnt compatable with this mobo
