Hi guys,
I'm very new to all this extreme stuff, but would love to know how I can I help with my overclocking?
I've done nothing to the board as such, I only use a Zalman 9700 heatsink for CPU cooling but nothing on the north or south bridge of the board.
I've been looking at the Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme heatsink for the CPU but I'm unsure if its worth it.. Could anyone give a noob a bit of friendly help and advice? Below are my system spec's in case they are needed
Intel Conroe Duo 2 E6600
Zalman 9700 heatsink
Abit AW9D-Max (latest bios - 1.5 I think)
Geil Ultra Low Latency PC6400 4Gb (4 x 1Gb)
HIS X1900 XT Cat 6.11
Raptor 74Gb HD (Benchmark Drive)
Pioneer rev 112 DVD-RW
Floppy Drive
Creative X-FI Sound Card
Coolermaster Stacker 810 Case
OC Z Mod Stream 520W PSU
Windows XP Pro + Service Pack 1A (no other updates)
Samsung SyncMaster 913N 19" TFT
