Abit AW9D-MAX problem

i had read posts about other baoprds in other places were the problem with the highperformance memory is it requires high voltage now at stock the volatage supplied to hyperformance ram is lower then it requires and in some cases means it dont work.

the work around if this is the problem is to use some cheap memory to boot up first time go into bios change ram volatge. then shut down take cheap memory out put in high performance and then boot up :)

dont know if this is the problem you have but if you do have some cheap memory about could be worth atry

Can you try your ram in another pc?

My Twin2X2048-8500C5D in sig can boot a 1.8v, but i run it @ 2.0v day in day out.

No other machine here. :(

Memory says it runs at 2.1v I guess I will need to go buy some memory that will run at 1.8v so I can go into the bios and change it.

If i pop to PC world tommorow do you think this stuff will get me up and running?

256MB DDR2 Memory
# 533 mhz Bus Clock Rate
# Non-ECC
# 240 pin Module Configuration
# 256MB PC2-4300 DDR2 Memory DIMM

Manual says mobo supports 4x 240-pin DIMM slots for Dual Channel DDR2 800/667 memory?

Cheers
