ABIT IC7-MAX3 Raid Issue

I have an Abit IC7-MAX3 motherboard with 3 WD 5000 AAKS (500GB) hard drives connected in raid 0 on the sillicon image 3114 controller the problem i am having is that i boot into the Windows XP setup press F6 and install the raid driver windows then detects the 1.5 TB logical drive formats it and installs the installation files once complete it restarts the system which would normally go to the second step of the setup but it will not boot into the drive all it does is restart the cd and start the whole setup again.

However if i only set two HDD's as raid 0 and the other on its own all is fine

Can any one tell me why this is happening as i would really like all three drives in raid 0. Sorry for the long post.

When you create the 3 disk array are you making sure it's second in the boot order behind the optical drive?

The boot order is floopy, cd, hdd and i have also selected onboard sata in the bootable add in device what i dont understand is that it works fine on a two disk array but not three
