Reason for the question is I have 2 coming tomorrow for my new PC build.
P5WD2Premium mobo already has the required Silicon Image controller onboard. My drives are:
2 x IDE HD ATA133
2 x DVDRW IDE
1 x SATA HD
Even though the mobo (Asus P5WD2Premium) supports up to 6 x IDE devices 4 of those are via an ITE onboard Raid controller which apparently takes ages to find the IDE devices so I though I would take a chance on converting 2 of the IDE to SATA so I do not get any long Bios delays.
Has anyone else used these convertors yet & if so are there any issues I should be aware of when cd booting to install XP (I have already created via nlite a customised CD with all the P5WD2 drivers pre-installed to avoid any press F6 to install drivers issues).
Thanks in advance.
