abit ip35-e problems!

so i reinstalled xp last night, install went fine, i then go to install the motherboard intel chipst. install it, reboot, and then my usb mouse and keyboard will not work at all! they were working fine directly after the reinstall before installing the chipset. now though its like the usb ports are not outputting any power as no lights come up on the keyboard and tghe laser on the mouse is not on at all.

ive tried another reinstall and get the same problem at the same time. any ideas?

XP SP2 or what?

All the USB drivers that you need should be in SP2.

xp sp2. is there an update for thge chipset software for this motherboard??

the latest Intel chipset drivers will be on Intel's website.

well its all sorted now. enabled mouse and kb support in bios instead of os then reinstalled windows. before i installed the chipset drivers that came with the mb i dl'd the new ones on intels website and used them instead. everything now seems to be working fine.

still a strange problem though seeing as i installed the original chipset drivers when i built the pc with no problems....
