Just bought one with 2 gig of corsair 6400c4 and a core2quad q6600.

anyone got one of these Abit IP35 boards,

are they good value for money and good for o/cing in your opinion?

I've got the Abit IP35 Pro, Vista 64 Ultimate, Q6600 G0, and Corsair ram, its a real beauty. Low temps, easiest overclocking experience I've ever, well, experienced. Can't recommend it highly enough. :)

Got an IP35 Pro, Q6600 and 2gb of Corsair Dominator..

VERY easy to overclock, feature packed and nicely laid out.

ideal :P what did u get the c2q too anyway?

Mine's on 3.33GHz (c.1.37v) with a Noctua U12F, 35c idle during this last weekend's warm weather. Stressing 12 hours Prime95 small FFTs: cpu@60c, cores at 70c. Lots of people are doing 3.4-3.6 on air with this.

8GB ram @ 1:1 (740). I actually have a real-world need for that amount. Though the 8GB seems to limit my o/c somewhat, I'm happy enough. I would have been happy with 3.0-3.2.

Used Bios v11, flashed in Vista 64 from FlashMenu - but best advised to flash from bootable floppy or USB.

Hi there

Abit pretty much have the best P35 chipset boards on the market, they might not be the absolute best overclockers or cheapest option but they seem to give all round excellence. Our sales shows this as they sell superbly for us and according to Abit its the same elsewhere in Europe too and hence shortages are happening.

Most places in the UK don't have the Abit boards in stock, but OcUK due to its excellent relations with Abit has all the IP35 range in stock. :)

ill be using a stock cooler for about a month, by then im buying a lga775 waterblock, v2000 case and stick some water on it. what am i looking to get, safely with good case cooling on a stock hsf?

nice, looks like ive chosen a good board then ;)

Only thing worth noting is that the IP35 Pro board has some compatibility issues with OCZ memory and i had a compatibility issue with OcUK's own 4gb (2x2gb) memory which requires the motherboard to be flashed to the latest bios revision to eradicate memory voltage issues.

Discovered this when building a PC for my friend. Luckily with 1 memory stick installed it got past POST, and I could update the voltages in bios after that :) (OCZ Ram)
