Hi folks

Just built up a system with an E2180 (presently stock frequency and voltage) on an IP-35 Pro, with an Asus V-60 cooler. Trouble is cooler won't run (or it will, if you don't have all four pins making contact).

On board siren doing my nut in (now turned off fan monitoring in bios).

So, what do you reckon? Problem with the cooler? (stock intel cooler works fine)

Or could it be that the fan won't run at low CPU temp? (~ 25deg. C.) i.e., a 'feature'?

Also noticed that CPU voltage jumps about between 1.18v and 1.31v.

Any comments happily received.

CPU voltage will proberly be part of speed step, changes the multiplier to 6 when idle and raises when stressed.
You might need to change the setting from PWM control, can't rememer where in the BIOS.

Think it's sorted (or at least silenced!)

Went into the right hand bit of the uGURU bios page, option at the bottom for fan control showed the minimum threshold temperature as 30 deg. C ...... My CPU rarely gets above 26 deg C with the V60 on it, without the fan running, but with the rear case fan on my Antec Sonata puling air through it.

Since I couldn't set the threshold any lower than 30 deg., I disabled that part of the control options, and fan immediately started running. It is now fully controllable from the uGURU app.
