Can anyone tell me what bolts/nuts/washers are used for this mod?

I've seen the extremesys thread but it only refers to US sizes.

A u.k. link/supplier would be great.

UK m4 bolts are too big, and none of my local shops sell anything smaller:mad:

Thanks in advance.

Have a look at this thread. You should be able to pick up the M3 bolts from virtually any hardware shop or B&Q. You can get them from Ebay too if you're stuck.

Bolt mod done.

pwm temps before bolt mod:
w/fan (40mm delta) - 65c load (too noisey)
without fan 85c

After bolt mod:

with Antec Spot Cool 20cm away - 75-77c whilst prime95 (all 4 cores) - not that great, was hoping for less.

--------

I've ordered a Scythe Kaze mini 40x10mm from OcUK to hopefully improve my pwm temps, & to replace the current Antec spot cool.

Noctua H/S installed at the same time using m3 bolts as the supplied screws didnt tighten proparly.

Sys currently:

q6600
Abit ip35-pro (356x9)
4x1gb corsair @ 890
v/c - 1.27 - 1.33 (eist on)
Antec Sonata 3 case
8800gts (g92) w/Accelero (no fan - load 65c)

PWM's get very warm anyway. Not too much you can do about it.

Did you change the thermal paste?

I used MX-2 on nb, sb, mosfet & noc. heatsink.

The thermal pad from the mosfet sink was ####.

Thin layer of mx-2 and the height of the fets varied a bit so therein is the cause, I think the bolt's should have lessened that affect now.

The noctua is performing better than my old Ultima 90i. CPU temps are idling at 35-38c (so a couple of C lower) Ambient temp is lower than normal as heating hasnt been on long....

Now the m/b is in (if) I need to remove the silent otes sinks again I wont have to pull everything out....the bolts will just sit on the base of the case :D
