Hi,
I just purchased an IP-35 Pro with Intel Q6600 and GEIL 2X1GB 6400 RAM.
At first I kept getting memory related error codes in POST, so I loaded fail safe settings and even hard set the memory to its stated timings 4,4,4,12. I also upped the memory voltage from 1.8V to 2.1V.
Every other setting is pretty much the same and temps are cool as CPU is 35 MAX.
After that I got it to boot from CD and into XP setup.
From here it goes through loading windows setup and just before the screen where you start choosing how to install XP I get a BSOD and this message :
STOP 0x0000007B (0xF78D2524, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)
It is the same code every time and with different combinations of memory and either a SATA or IDE HDD.
I ran MEMTEST and at first it crashed after getting errors, and then running it again for an hour I got 2 errors but it was still going.
I am on the latest BIOS 07/09/2007 Version 11 (but not the betas).
Soooooo, does anyone think I have got a faulty Motherboard or faulty Memory?
Can anyone interpret that stop code ( I have had a quick search and found it might be to do with missing drivers that XP needs however I have never had trouble installing XP on these same drives before).
Any help would be much appreciated.
Many Thanks
Mark
