Abit IX38 QuadGT SLi-able??

Just need some clarification if possible...


Is the Abit IX38 QuadGT compatible with SLi??


Also... in general with mobos, if there are 2 PCI-E16 slots will it support dual graphic cards in Xfire or SLi etc??
Or are there blocks put in place if the mobo manufacturer is supporting ATI or nvidia etc etc

(Sorry been out of the loop for a while so trying to catch up on tech before my new build)

Nope it won't do SLI, you need an Nvidia chipset board for that

Right. So only the nForce 6 and 7 mobos will do SLi...


There isnt a handy guide floating about comparing the different chipsets for C2s and what they can and can't do?


Wasnt actually going to go for SLi to start with, but was aiming to try and future proof the rig for a couple of years.
