Wanting to upgrade my 4200 x2 @ 2.8 to the phenom amd 7750 x2 but cant seem to find if it will take the cpu upgrade amd if not can i set it up manually in the bios like we could in the gd old days ?

AM3 CPU into AM2 =Nope
I just got rid of my KN9 so I could get an AM2+ or AM3 cpu.
I settled on the Gigabyte MA790X-UDP4 AM2+ /AM3 taking ddr2 ram.
Did not need onboard graphics.
Went for the X2 7850 and overclocked it to 3GHz on a multiplier only.

Thanks think I'll stick to the normal athlon x2's till i can afford a cpu and mobo upgrade
