lost on a big planet.
Lo all,

Will be ordering a new MB next week, managed to narrow it down to a P35 chipset but can not make my mind up between the ABIT IP35 Pro or Asus P5K Premium/WiFi-AP Intel P35.
Never had an Abit board before, but i have had an Asus (had no problems during the time i had it).

Will be using this with an E4400(Possible upgade to Quad Core later in the year) and 2GB of Crucial Ballistix DDR2 PC2-5300CS.

Any ideas on which would be better, got well and truly lost reading the posts on the forum about both boards and need help in which direction to go in.

Thanks in advance

my opinion will be

MB abit IP35 pro
CPU e2160
RAM the OCZ platinum stuff in This week only

reasons
CPU, if the CPU is a tempery solution, no point spending too much on it and the e2140 should reach quite a good speed anyway, you may want to consider the e2200 if you are not used to OCing as *** higher multiplier should also help.

RAM, ballistixs are good chips but they seem to fail too often and as far as im aware it is not ideal to be RMAing your RAM all the time. if you get a q6600, the OCZ ram should allow you to get 3.6GHz out of your cpu before you need to OC the RAM. if you use a FSB of 400MHz and a 9X multiplier

as for *** MB, i picked the abit board and i can say its a good MB to use, i do not know how good the asus is though

Oops my fault, should have said i all ready have the cpu and memory, these are coming out of my curent build using the Asrock 4CoreDual-sata2 that i got to use as a quick semi upgared to get me off Socket A.
