Able to use consoles on iMac?

I have an Elgato USB tv tuner on my iMac, which uses coaxial connector, is it possible to use consoles with this? Would be great if it is.

If not, is there another way to do so?

You'll need an RF adapter to convert the console's output to a format the coaxial input can understand but it should work for your purposes. Some consoles, particularly older ones, include this functionality by default.

And I presume it would just show up as an extra channel? Would it be an analogue or digital output? I can only receive digital .

It will be VERY low quality AND laggy, its not even worth trying really!

To do it properly, you'd end up spending more than the cost of a telly. Unless space is an issue, and money is no concern, I'd not even consider it.

It would be wise to purchase a new TV or temporary use an old one. Routing the signal through a video card/tv tuner wouldn't work out.
