i was running my Q6600 @ 1.39v 3115Mhz on a striker 2 formula (rubbish NB cooling) and i had to restart to install some drivers. when i rebooted i went into the bios and the northbridge was @ 70c i had been running the northbridge @ 1.39v (left on auto) and it never gone above 60c and now it will not boot. even when i reset it to stock frequency. the cpu temp has also risen from 30c to 35c?

any suggestions?

thanks in advance

hmm.... Have you tried to clear the cmos and start agian? have to toutch the nb cooler maybe its not seated right anymore? have you added or changed anything lately?

Paul

i have reset the cmos still made no difference i haven't touched the northbridge cooler

water cooling is not an option i didn't have enough money for a screen even am using an old CRT!!!

Try booting with just 1 stick of memory.

What does the little LCD screen say?

i have managed to boot now (with all sticks of RAM) @ stock speeds but the nb is still @ 55c with 1.24V should i stress in prime95?

sorted it by placing a loo roll(!!!) from my 110CFM Scythe Fan directly to the northbridge which has lowered the temps by 15c!!!!! so thanks for your help anyway
