Im quite new to building pcs on my own. Iv tried out the things on your website and they are good offers for what im wanting but i really wanna build it from scratch and on my own.

Iv recently been paid out of my job so i cant really afford anything major atm so i gotta wait till next year when i get a new one. until then iv got to decide and look around and learn more about it.

I know very little. The pc iv got atm has only had 2 graphics card changes, internal hard drive change and a powersupply change. There just small things what clip on and off. Iv not touched my motherboard etc because i know NOTHING. Ill get to the point.

I just wanna know where would be the best place to start off. are there any small things that i should know about.

Iv got no limit to spending. But i dont wanna go crazy with my money.

Another question would be.
Do you need to buy the USB & other slots seperately? (eg audio, microphone, headset ports) Seperately as in they dont come with a case.

any help would be appreciated. Iv got a while to learn a lot more.

To be honest if you can change a PSU and GFX you've got it covered, all your audio ports/usb etc come on the motherboard. The motherboard is one solid unit, you dont add the chips to it or anything like that, just put the CPU in place and attach a fan. honestly, I think if you can do what you've said you have it covered!

Like J.B said, the actual construction of the PC is fairly simple and easy. Doing a good job of cable management is a little trickier and takes a little longer but is nothing taxing.

Anyone come up with a good way of managing the graphics card power connectors. They have to go to the graphics card right in the middle of the PC, which makes it messy. Everything else is, more or less, easier to manage, but I cannot work out a good way of managing the power connectors.
