About to buy a Nikon D50....yay or nay?

Afternoon all, I saw a secondhand D50 today at a price that looks very reasonable. It comes with a Nokon 18-55mm lense and a 70-300mm lense. Is £380 reasonable money? I can probably haggle down to about £350 too.

Also, it'll be my first foray into DSLR's, I currently use a Sony Cybershot W3 (5MP pocket camera) and its "ok" for the time being. I've yet to see any pics from this (D50)camera though, should they be vastly different?

Anything I need to look out for too?

Ok, I've managed to broker what I think is a killer deal, £300 for the camera, the two lenses, two 1GB SD cards, flash with rechargeables + charger, two batteries + charger all in a soft case too. I know the owner of the shop and managed to batter (read smash)the price down more. And its mint!

Ok, so now I need pointers on how to use the thing properly. Any pointers to onlie resources?
