I know there is loads of threads about this but I just want a confirmation.

With my current spec (see sig), is Windows Vista Premium 64bit the best choice over 32bit?

I have just upgraded and I cant see myself upgrading the mobo for atleast 2-3 years.

Thx

In the long term, x64 is definitely the right choice. You may have a few teething troubles at the start, but as your PC is pretty much new it'll probably only be the odd random peripheral you find yourself driverless for. Or you might just be lucky!

You should be fine with 64bit version, I was in the same boat but plumped fror x64 ultimate oem and its great. Really glad I went x64 now and not 32bit, all my fears where unfounded.

2 Very quick replies. Thanks.

With regards to drivers, I think the 8800GTS is the only prob as there are only betas out atm?

nVidia drivers are a bit slack apparently, should be fixed soon though. Creative drivers are also still in beta and are supposed to be poo.
