About to change from Aquiss...to Sky is it any good?

Hi guys :)

Before I request my mac code, I was just wondering the premium broadband sky service.. is it any good? I look to download a little here and there and also online gaming!

Im leaving Aquiss not due to thier service it has been fantastic, its just a tad bit expensive:p

So peeps any thoughts? also what is the max download limit for sky?

i'm on the sky, speak and surf deal.

adsl is £5 a month for "up to" 8mb with a capped download amount of 40gb per month (thats more than a gig a day!!:eek:)

tbh, I was told by my pervious ISP that the max speed i could get on my line was 3.5mb. I've done serval speed tests and all have showen 80% above that, so I'm happy ;):D
 
arh, I'm on the basic package. I believe that the premium is unlimited downloads and "up to" 16mb.

don't know anywhere apart form London where you will get the 16Mbps! i'm on the middle package, and its really good, they don't charge if you go over the limit, they just send you a letter saying please upgrade as you are taking the p***

they also give you a reasonably good netgear wireless rooter for free, it whoops the ass of the orange livebox!!
 
It is either a netgear or the new sagem router they give you they are just doing a change over at moment.

I just changed over this week and speed wise getting between 6-8mb download speed depending on where i am downloading from. Not had any issues with them for the last 4 days and i even managed to somehow use their service while not having the correct router which surprised the tech guy when i rang to ask where my new router was.

I'm on the top package, they have been quite good for me, luckily enough I can get 16mb but you will have to ring them up and get them to change you over as you will be put on the 8mb service.
