About to get a PS3...

Just sold the Wii... loved its innovation, Nintendo did a cracking job on it but I want to try out the PS3 now, plus I fancy gaming in some proper HD and watching some HD movies with Blu Ray.

So recommend me some essential hardware and games I should have ready before the PS3 is even delivered. At the moment my list is this:

1. 160Gb HDD
2. Fifa 08 (I love Fifa)
3. Assassins Creed (Looking forward to playing this)

Let me hear it... :)

I've already got an HDMI cable that came with my HP w2207h. Is it just a standard HDMI port on the PS3 or is it a typical Sony "we want you to spend more money" non standard port?

As already mentioned, it's better built and has slightly better analogue sticks, but for me the best thing about the DS3 is the weight - it's good to have a controller that actually weighs something. Sixaxis pads are ridiculously light in my opinion.
 
Uncharted is a must fanstasic game i would go as far to say best of that style game i played, looks the part to.
