Ok i have finished my website and i am ready to upload...Vidahost seems well recommended so i am going to go for them i reckon,Now i will be going for the 'Basic Package' and the free domain they give you...but i was wondering is it easy to upload the website i have made etc, atm all the files/photos are in one file do i need to anything to them or do i just upload them when i have paid for the website like uploading files to facebook etc

How do you mean they're all in one file?
If you have an index.html file, some other pages, a folder for images and so on, just upload it to the "public_html" folder using an FTP program (Cyberduck, Transmit or Firefox extension FireFTP). Vidahost will provide all the FTP details in their welcome email once your account has been set up.
