Basically, in the next few days I am going to be buying a monitor and I have it down to the LG Flatron 29UB65-P and the AOC g2460pg.

I know these are two very different types of monitor, I only really play World of Warcraft at the moment anything else that I start playing I seldom stick too haha. What would you guys suggest between those two ?

Also I am generally anxious about ordering monitors thanks to the whole dead/stuck pixel thing. What is OcUK's policy regarding these types of things?

Cheers!

I have and love the G2460PG, but I'd say that if you're wanting a monitor primarily for WoW you'd probably enjoy the ultra-wide better. WoW supports 21:9 resolutions, and I'd imagine it would give you a good advantage being able to see more of the game world. Plus, it's not exactly a fast-moving FPS, so the benefits of 144Hz and g-sync wouldn't be as attractive.

It depends what your going to be using it for, and whats more important.

The game you mentioned does suport 21:9 nativley, so will be very immersive however i think some do not, so you may have to check that out. Some just upscale 16:9 giving you a stretched image.

The AOC has a much faster response time and is more aimed at gaming, with gsync and 144hz, which dosn't matter as much for mmos. Depends on what you play.

If you go in to more detail about intended uses im sure people on here can give you some better ideas as to which to go for.

Thank you for the fast replies. I basically play WoW on my pc and apart from that i do general internet surfing. I am predominantly an MMO gamer, so any other games I do play will be RPG style. FPS I may play now and again but very rarely.

Cheers!
