I plan to use this mainly for 1680x1050 gaming (BC2, ME2, etc). Hopefully I can unlock it to quad core later on, if so will I need extra cooling?

Already have PSU (450W), HD (Samsung F3), 22" LCD and Windows 7 Pro 64bit.

Any suggestions for improvements or savings most welcome. :D

looks good, as youve alluded to youd be best with an aftermarket cooler if your OCing/unlocking, look at something like a freezer pro for £20. Also cant confirm if that mobo is suitable for unlocking cores or not, check into it, some are and some arent, and be aware it is hit n miss too, other than that as I said it looks good

If you are wanting to unlock the extra cores your on the "maybe" wagon because it's not guaranteed. Search through the threads for motherboards that seem to have been successful in the past.

This site lists some MB that have unlocked. (use the translate box at the top.. the site is in Romanian!)

From memory I believe the MB's with 750 SB chips seem to have the most success. You'll need a decent aftermarket cooler, like 95thrifles suggested, to keep the CPU down to a good temp.

ATB :)
