Hmmm... looks... massive!

No price difference so I'll definitely take it into consideration.

I'll have a proper read of your review tomorrow (can you also link me to any others?), but for now, sleep.

There are a few just below the title of my review :) Its a superb cooler, extremely quiet and I'm sitting @ 30C on stock speeds of an E6600 :)

Ultra-120 with Sharkoon 2000 @ 5V on an E6400 @ stock, ~29C.

Less if i push the fan up, but at 5V it is SILENT compared to the rest of my rig, and thats with all the case fans undervolted too.

The tuniq tower 120 is the best air cooler on the market period.
I'll put my tuniq up against your noctua anytime.
Right it's a heatsink off !

Would be 1 degree less than mine. This is fairly childish kiddos. They are all decent coolers I'm just suggesting something that isn't always recommended because of its low profile reputation which I'm trying to build.

i know, i know, i was joking

Both the Notua and the Ultra-120 are much overlooked with the obsession on the TT. The new Ultra-120+ revision should shake things up a bit, and the bigger Thermalright will hopefully make things even more interesting.

However, when it comes down to it, performance diffs are a hair-s breadth from each other, and often can come down to case setup, room temp, and even skillfulnness of TIM application.

buy whatever you like the look of, and feel most comfortable with! I like the choice of fan with the Ultra (mounting system is damm good too!), but the TT does look pretty sleek.

As there doesn't seem to be any difference in performance, I think I'll go for the Tuniq. Just because it looks a bit neater with the fan inside, and I'm not sure the Noctua would fit with my motherboard having heatpipes.
