corsair 650w sli

can you guys think of anything else i need....... the build is solely for video editing

Looks good to me, though you might want to consider buying a couple of decent fans to fit to that H50, like a pair of Akasa Apache Blacks, as this will give you better temps than the stock fan, which will allow you to overclock even higher..

If you don't plan on doing any o/cing then the stock fan will be fine though, but I've seen a few people say that they are quite noisy, whereas those Apache's are supposed to be really quiet.

If you do go for those fans or any other PWM fan for that matter, then you should also get one of these PWM fan splitter cables so you can hook both fans up to the PWM fan header on your mobo so that the fans will slow down when the system is idling, then once you put a load on the system the fans will spin up accordingly.

Lastly, I don't know whether you noticed or not, but those Samsung SSD's aren't in stock here atm, you might want to consider getting the Intel X25-M 80GB instead, it isn't that much more expensive than the Samsung, and you are getting 16GB more storage space, and it also has TRIM support which helps prevent degradation of the drive over time..

LoL, no problem mate!!! :D

I think the Intel SSD is the best option for you, as it has much better support than the Samsung's, not to mention the extra storage as well..

Also, if you're going for those Akasa fans, they should be a lot quiter than the stock fan, and should give much better temps to.

thanks much
adding to this, have you any ideas for how i can make my antec 900 quieter....... i have all the fans on low and it is still very loud.....also will the cooling be adequate with 6 hard drives operating

Well i used to do a bit of video editing on my bros i5 pc and that was more than i needed so i would suggest going along that line and if you do need the power of i7 you can upgrade to i7 860..... But if you need a i7 and have the money then by all means go i7

tis trueee i guess, my computer doesnt struggle to do anything, but why not have the best?? i just want to see how fast it will be

Lol fair enough... You could just upgrade your system if it doesnt struggle? Put 2 SSDs in a couple of Samsung f3s and you will be flying!!!

you my man are a legend,
i could do thisss :D
then do a mobo/cpu/ram upgrade later on

new shopping list:
2 intel ssd's??
2 f3 for raids
new screen

anything else?/
