About to purchase, could i do better?

I have been looking around for a few days for a GPU for my project, log in sig.

I am strongly considering getting

What would you consider the next step up? I think it starts to move into the category where you pay £100 more for 0.5% more performance right?

well, its only going to be a 680 GTX from there, you have to decide whether or not the performance is worth the price hike. Personally I would just crossfire that 6970.

I cant deal with with blue PCB bit weird i know...
In terms of the waterblock, are EK a strong performer?
I dont really need a huge performance increase, plus i can OC the 7970 pretty well?
