Does my graphics card support 1440x900?

Its a PNY Nvidia 6600 256mb, how can I find out? As somone said beware before purchasing you have to find out if your gfx card supports the 1440x900 resolution.
:)

Thanks.

I'm going to be really annoying here and not even answer your question (As I don't know the answer) but I just wanted to point out incase you hadn't noticed that there is a 19" widescreen going in this week only for quite a bit less than the Acer.

However, how does it compare to the acer? (Can get the acer for £150inc) btw..

Thanks

Hmmm... I think the acer is better IIRC....

*EDIT*

On further checking of the specs of both monitors, they are roughly the same it seems in terms of contrast ratio and brightness.

Whats a better company Acer or Video7 ....

I have heard Acer more frequently etc... For an extra £7-10 might aswell grab the acer... just wondering about the resolution thats all :)

Thanks

the Videoseven L19WA and Acer AL1916W are both using the same 8ms TN Film panel from CMO so performance is going to be pretty comparable. Acer are a more well known make and the AL1916W has received some very positive feedback from owners. There's a fair chunk of info about the Acer in the sticky too. The Acer is likely to offer a better build quality but if you consider performance, they are both very similar. I'd suggest going for whichever you like the look of more as that is also important in buying a TFT imo

I have just purchased 2 of the Hanns G from OcUK this week and Im really happy with the performance. I haven't seen an Acer in the flesh so I cannot compare but I absolutely love the thin bezel on the Hanns G, so much better than the pic.

Great, just as I buy my acer it goes down £20 odd. Ah well, that's the electrical business for you

Couldn't be any more pleased with it though, great picture. Even the viewing angle restriction of the TN film isn't as bad as you'd think.

HI there

Go for the OcUK Hanns-G on the front page. Its cheaper than the Acer, plus it has better specification along with both DVI and Analogue inputs too. Absolute cracker of a monitor for a very good price - £119.95 +VAT! :)

Thanks for that, what do you think Badass?

Woah I never even saw that Hanns-G before... might have to get some of that widescreen action myself :D
