what in your mind is the absolute limit voltage for E6600? I think 1.45 is pretty high...

depends on u;re cooling 1.45 is about it with decent air cooling imo

Dependant on temps, about 1.55 on air...
1.7 on water

Make sure cpu is kept under 65C under full 100% load though in both situations...

While someone has a thread open. Any ideas on what voltage I should be putting through my Opty 185 at most? It's on water, and of course I won't go above 60 at full load.

i`m running 1.55 vcore atm.
had it on 1.7 vcore the other day trying to get my overclock stable @3.6 , lol

my poor silicon E6600 (week 24) - needs 1.5V (in bios) - about 1.46 CPU-Z - to make 3.22 gig ! (

seems happy 24/7 though - max temps are about 62C core-temp
