I've decided i was stupid to sell my ds lite and am in the process of buying a new one, it's been a couple of years and i was looking at getting maybe 8-10 games off ebay to take away with me (not going to manage being in the bar all the time).

I'm pretty happy with absolutely any genre apart from maybe 'disney princess' kind of things or movie/cartoon tie ins (unless exceptional).

what should i be getting?

I'd say Super Mario 64 is a must I love that game still to this very day, the new pokemon platinum isn't too bad either.

GTA Chinatown Wars is better than all the other GTAs that have ever been released (apart from Vice City). Defo get that one and Professor Layton.

Professor Layton and the Curious Village
Hotel Dusk Room 215
GTA Chinatown Wars
Trauma Centre: Under the Knife

All awesome!

All three Castlevania games currently on the the DS for definate;

Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow
Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin
Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia

KORG DS-10 - if you are into old fashioned synthesizer music composition stuff.

Are all the Castlevainias worth a punt?

They're my fave DS games so aye I'd definitely recommend them, took me 2 years to complete the first one :D.

I'd also recommend

Mario Kart DS
Animal Crossing

if you like spending a few minutes in game to 30 minutes just a pick up and play title.

GTA Chinatown Wars
Mario DS 64
Zelda Phantom Hourglass
Professor Layton
Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow

all my fave DS games.

Rather than start another thread, I'll just slip this in here. :)

What are the best platformers on the DS?

I've just started playing Henry Hatsworth and can't put it down. :D

Well you don't have to shout objection :p

While you can push a button rather than shout objection. There is no alternative that i found to blowing into the microphone to remove excess finger print powder which also gets you strange looks luckly you don't need to do it very often.

Zelda Phantom Hourglass
Final Fantasy IV
NEW Super Mario Bros.
Mario Kart DS
Yoshi's Island 2
Professor Layton: Curious Village
Phoenix Wright
Trauma Centre
Advanced Wars: Dark Conflict

Chrono Trigger
Any of the Final Fantasy Remakes :)

/thread

If you like RPGs you need a DS. I havent touched my PSP ever since I got the DS because all the games I enjoy playing are on the DS. I was a PSP fanboy until I got the DS because I saw all the Final Fantasy and Dragon Quests games coming out.
