Absolute noobs guide to photography....

Hi all, just wondering if there are any books/websites that can start to give me a really basic overview of photography terminology and how they effect your pictures?

Stuff like aperture, ISO level, HDR, exposure, shutter speed etc. Wouldn't mind having a better understanding of stuff like this so i'm not completely in the dark when taking photos as I use a DSLR at work regularly and i've just bought a nice new compact digital camera.

Understanding Exposure by Bryan Peterson is the usual go-to book.

Have a look at Mark Wallace's Digital Photograph 1 on 1 video on the AdoramaTV channel on you tube.

You will probably have to dig out the earlier vids to find absolute basics.

Websites are good, but personally I found the structure that Understanding Exposure gave to be a useful point. It's also really not that much, and well worth the money.

I learnt a lot when I started out from his youtube movies.
