hi all, im building a new rig on a DFI nf4 Ultra-D (on the cheap!!) and want a really good, and very qiuet cooler to allow me to oc my cpu from 1.8ghz to 2.25+ comfortably ..

anwyay was ina shop today and they didnt have the AC 64 but had the gigabyte, and it looked pretty impressive. are there any opinions on which would be better out of the two?

chrs

I have the Gigabyte cooler, it is a good quality cooler, my cpu keeps real cool when i have the speed control on full but god its so noisy on full !
If you want quiet and low cost go for the AC 64, for real good cooling go for the Gigabyte :)

I've got a G-power Pro cooling my 3700sd @ 2.5gig and keeps it at 28 idle and 35 under load and thats with it on its slowest/quietest setting :D

Personally my G power pro doesnt bother me at all with the side panel off my case and running max speed, but i seem to be oddly tolerant of noise levels :p.

I would rather my cpu run cool with some extra noise than run unecessarily hotter cause of a little noise.
