Is there a right way and a wrong way to test a Laptop AC Adaptor? I have a tester and i put the black cable with the metal spike on the outside of the AC Adaptor end and the Red cable spike on the 'inside' of the connector end.
When i do this nothing shows on the multimeter. If i swap the cables round i get -15.
The Adaptor doesn't work with laptop. Tried my adaptor and that boots laptop fine. Obviously a new adaptor needed. Just wanted to know if i was testing the polarity correctly. Thanks
